JAMS Forms Financial Markets Group Offering Dispute Resolution Services For Credit Crisis Litigation

JAMS, The Resolution Experts, the largest private provider of ADR Services in the United States, announced today that it has formed a Financial Markets Group, which consists of prominent mediators and arbitrators from the JAMS panel who are specially qualified to offer dispute resolution services for lawyers and their clients -- such as corporations and their directors and officers, banks and other lenders, investors, shareholders, borrowers and other parties -- involved in litigation stemming from the current credit and financial crisis.

The JAMS Financial Markets Group is headed by highly respected neutrals David Geronemus, Esq., Michael D. Young, Esq. and Hon. Daniel Weinstein (Ret.). The group includes some of JAMS’ most distinguished mediators and arbitrators from throughout the United States, including retired federal, state trial and appellate judges, and former litigators, all of whom have specific relevant dispute resolution and substantive experience.

JAMS Foundation Approves Seven New Grants To Assist Dispute Resolution Initiatives Nationwide

Wide Range of Programs Gain Boost From JAMS’ Philanthropic Arm

The non-profit JAMS Foundation announced today that it will provide grants to seven programs, each of which uses alternative dispute resolution in innovative ways to promote and advance the settlement of conflict. The money will be distributed by the foundation in the form of four Foundation Grants, which provide financial support up to $50,000 for ADR-programs or initiatives, and three Opportunity Grants, which award up to $10,000 for smaller scale and more localized projects.
